About the Program:

Marty Revis will speak on the current state of ISO9000:2000, transition from ISO9001:1994 and the new ISO/TS16949 Technical Specification for automotive suppliers.

About our Speaker:

Mr. Revis is President of Mid American Quality Systems, a Quality Management Systems training, consulting and auditing firm located in Kokomo, IN.  Our speaker is a graduate of the Purdue University Krannert School of Management with a BS in Industrial Management and earned an MBA from Ball State University.  He retired from General Motors with 33 years of experience in Personnel, Labor Relations, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality.  Marty is an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor and member of Audit Division. He is also a RAB certified Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor and an AIAG certified QS9000 auditor.

Follow-up:
21 Quality Professionals attended the September Meeting.  Steve Zylka won the door-prize and Steve Scott the free meal.  Norman Coots' name was drawn for the $100 jackpot - but you have to attend to win.

Take-aways: 
+  The difference between Cpk and Ppk is how you calculate sigma.
+  Companies have till December 2003 to register to ISO9000:2000.
+  Only six procedures are required by ISO9000:2000
+  Continuous Improvement = Preventative Action
+  ISO/TS16949 is written to the 1994 ISO9000 standard
