About the Program:
Our October 2005 program is a demonstration of
the FARO portable CMM system and portable
laser Line scanning system. The FARO Control Station is used by
manufacturers as a quality control tool to inspect and measure parts on the
manufacturing floor rather than in a quality laboratory. The FARO
ScanArm is used measure and compare parts against the nominal CAD data.
Industry applications in inspection and reverse engineering will be discussed.
About our Speaker:
Rod Chaffee - Regional Manager - FARO

Rod has been involved with portable measurement
for over 4 years. He has dealt with all FARO products, including the
FARO Control Station, FARO Gage, FARO Digital Template, FARO ScanArm, and FARO
Laser Tracker. He has sold, installed, and implemented FARO solutions to
many manufacturers throughout
FARO GAGE Demonstration and Hands-On Workshop
Demonstration of the FARO GAGE, a
"personal CMM" that is changing the landscape of high-precision
product inspection worldwide. The FARO GAGE's price point, accuracy,
ease of use, reporting capabilities, and portability make it an appealing
alternative to height gages, calipers, hard gages, and even some CMMs. Attendees
should bring sample parts, and will be given the opportunity to measure them
using the FARO GAGE.
