The star on this map shows I-69 and State Road 109, exit 26.  

Directions:

DRA is approximately 2 mile south I-69 and exit 26.
(It's approximately 1 mile south of the Meijer Store.)

It is the only industrial  building on IN-109 south of Meijer.  
It is on the highway (East Side of the Road).

Enter at the front lobby. (It's very easy to see the lobby.  There is a sign.)

The plant is on 109 and can be approached from other directions as seen on the map.  It is between I-69 and US-36 on Highway 109.

Dinner Members plan to meet for supper after the tour at a local restaurant.  

About the Program:
The tour will feature the improvements in lean manufacturing accomplished in the last 24 months, observe DRA's latest manufacturing cell, including poka yoke devices employed, and the resulting improvement in first time quality.  


About our Hosts:
Max Butcher is the Quality Engineer for Heavy Duty Motors.  He has been a manufacturing General Supervisor, Quality Field Representative, Quality Supervisor and Quality Engineer.  

Dawn Saxon is a member of ASQ and is a Certified Quality Technician.  She has been a Quality Improvement Process Coordinator for DRA, since the transition from General Motors in 1994.  Dawn's experience with light duty motors is extensive.

Post-Meeting Follow-up:

Twenty-nine Quality Professionals, including 9 guests, attended the November Plant Tour.  Those attending were impressed by the excellent houskeeping, and quality of products and procedures.  Many quality tools were in use.

Travis Cox gave a presentation on the development of a flexible work cell.  Work Standards and Mistake Proofing improved the quality from 35,000 PPM to near zero.

Several attendees were seen overeating at Ryans after the meeting.
