About the Program:

Beyond Six Sigma...  As Six Sigma reaches maturity, we look ahead to what comes next...

The achievements of Six Sigma programs at companies like GE have become business legend.  What are "they" working on next.  New, integrated systems for business operations management and improvement are coming.  What will it mean for businesses big and small?

About our Speaker:

Tom Pearson is a systems scientist, designer, consultant, speaker, and author.  His private consulting practice specializes in the design of integrated business improvement systems using innovative applications of Six Sigma methods, system science, and information technology.  Tom is also a co-founder and Technical Fellow of Praedictus Corporation, a software company that provides predictive process management software tools and methods for real-time operations management and business improvement.  He is a Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and a past chairman of both the local Indianapolis Section 903 and the national Measurement Quality Division of ASQ.

Tom received his BA in Physics and Mathematics from University of Indianapolis and his MS in Operations Research from The George Washington University. He completed Six Sigma Black Belt training with Smarter Solutions in Austin, TX in 2000. Tom co-holds US patents for software, and is co-author of the "Exploratory Quality Control Handbook" and "Wisdom on the Green… Smarter Six Sigma Business Solutions". He has several articles published in national magazines and been a regular speaker at national conferences on Quality and Test and Measurement. Tom was previously Metrology Division Director at Naval Avionics Center, Indianapolis, and served as Chairman of the Indiana Quality Committee for The Indiana Business Modernization and Technology Corporation, and founding Director of the National Center for Creativity, Inc.

Pre-Clinic:  The November Pre-Clinic will be a video of the late Phil Crosby's Address to the 2001 AQC on "Making a Career in Quality." The video sums up Crosby's career and his views on Quality.  Early in his career he worked as an inspector at Crosley in Richmond, IN.  He mentions this on the video.  It was at this time he joined ASQC.  Our East Central Indiana ASQ section is a consolidation of the Muncie Section with the disbanded Richmond and Marion sections.

Post-meeting follow-up:

Seventeen quality professional attended the November Meeting.  Mike McDonald, Greg Ramey and Dan Swartz won the door-prizes.  D. Castro won the free meal.  Dan Opie's name was drawn for the $150 jackpot - but you have to attend to win.
