About the Program: This presentation will introduce the beginner to the concept of using Measurement Uncertainty calculations in metrology and other related applications. The workshop will familiarize the user with the terminology used in Measurement Uncertainty and how it is applied. About our Speaker: Dilip
Shah has more than 25 years of industry experience in metrology, electronics,
and instrumentation, measurement and computer applications of statistics in the
Quality Assurance areas. He has been employed in various positions with Phillips
Electronics (UK), Kodak Ltd. (UK), Instruments Division of Monsanto Corporation,
Flexsys America and Alpha Technologies. He is currently a Principal of E = mc3
Solutions, a consulting practice that provides training and other solutions in
ISO9000/QS9000, ISO17025, measurement and computer applications. Dilip is an
American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Engineer and volunteers
his time with the local Akron-Canton (Ohio) ASQ section where he is the
immediate past-chairman (2001-2002). Dilip has been a member of the advisory
board of the University of Akron Engineering and Science Technology Division
since 1988. Dilip also belongs to the Statistics and Measurement Quality
Divisions (Chair-Elect 2002-2003 year) of American Society for Quality. His
current project participation with the Measurement Quality Division is the
development of an ASQ Certified Calibration Technician exam. Dilip participates
actively in the measurement related issues through NCSLI (National Conference of
Standards Laboratories International) and the west coast based Measurement
Science Conference.
Pre-Clinic: Our Guest Speaker will
