"Achieving ISO 14000 at
3M"
Dan Borgenheimer
Quality and
Environmental Manager
3M Hartford
City, IN

About the Program:
IS0 14000
is an International Environmental
Standard being embraced by many US companies. The standard is similar to
ISO 9000 in structure and discipline. Companies who are ISO/QS-9000
registered find that they are already 40% compliant with ISO 14000. The 3M
plant in Hartford City achieved ISO 14000 registration in the Fall 2000.
This team effort was championed by Dan Borgenheimer. Dan will explain how
3M achieved and maintains an ISO 14000 compliant environmental system.
About the Speaker:
Dan Borgenheimer serves a dual role as Quality and Environmental
Health and Safety Manager at the 3M Hartford City, IN facility. Dan joined
3M in 1983 and has held technical and
managerial responsibilities in St. Paul, MN, Cynthiana, KY and Hartford City,
IN. He received a BS in Industrial Engineering from North
Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. In 1982, Dan was captain of the
football team and an academic All-American. Dan last spoke to our section
in February 1997.
