About our Speaker: Kenny
Heifner is the Vice President, Quality & Organizational Development /
Management Representative for Total Electronics, an LLC headquartered in
Logansport, IN. His responsibilities include developing human resources and
improving quality systems including problem solving, determining and
prioritizing areas for performance improvement, researching and developing
educational and training materials / systems, and administering educational and
training programs. He is an adjunct faculty member for the Purdue University
School of Technology and a Certified Trainer with Plexus Corporation.
Kenny is a Member of ASQ
Mr. Heifner has over twenty
years of experience in the quality, training, education and management. He has
owned and operated his own business, developed training programs and
administered quality improvement initiatives for General Motors, taught as a
Visiting Assistant Professor at Purdue University, led numerous businesses in
APQP development and deployment and to ISO 9001 and / or QS 9000
registration. His focus is on quality systems
development and implementation with emphasis on assessing, training and coaching
to facilitate registration to ISO 9001, QS-9000, TE Supplement or ISO/TS 16949.
He also focus on subsequent continual improvement of these systems. This
includes auditing, procedure writing, training of management, implementation
teams, task teams and other employees in the chosen standard and / or
specification.
Kenny was a
member of an eight-person team selected to plan and execute GM’s Lighting
Plant transformation to eight focused factories. He directed Quality Improvement
Workshops that yielded double-digit improvements in quality, cost and
productivity. He conducted research studies pertaining to photographic operator
instructions, presented improved operator instructions to members of GM’s
Corporate Quality Council and demonstrated development and application
techniques corporation-wide. He worked with Hughes Simulation Services to
develop classified technology into a training platform to improve
injection-molding quality. He managed the administration of the National
Occupancy Competency Testing Institute performance examinations for Purdue
University.

Science, BS – Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, Master of Arts in
Education, MAE – Ball State University, Muncie, IN and a Master of Business
Administration, MBA – Anderson University, Anderson, IN

About the Pre-Clinic: In
the Pre-clinic Rhonda Goss & Steve Zylka will present "Auditing
Prospectus" on their experiences as auditors and how one chooses internal
auditors. Your opinions on internal auditing and auditors will be solicited
during the presentation. The discussion will focus on attributes of auditors and
auditing styles. Bring your experiences to share.
About the Speakers: Rhonda Goss is
the ISO coordinator and lead internal auditor for Tomasco. Steve Zylka is
the lead auditor and document controller for MTI DynAmerica. Both have done
internal auditing for ISO 9001 and GMP. Rhonda has approximately 15 years as a
quality professional and Steve has 30 years as a quality professional. Both are
ASQ Certified Quality Auditors.
