The tour participants were split into three groups to
view one of the following improvement activities:
Quality System Basics and Process Control
Process Tool Lean Best Practices
Quality Network Preventive Maintenance.
After an introduction in the conference room, we saw several good applications
of these activities on the floor. The feed back on the forms was very
appreciative with many expressing that they would have liked to have seen more.
This tour was interesting, educational, and well planned. Many thank to
our Tour Presenters and Guides:
Deb Hunter, Quality Manager
Jack Enlow, QS Coordinator
Mike Faraci, Quality Engineer
Mike Hess, Maintenance
Brian Alberson, Tooling
Brain Kettler, Industrial Engineering Manager
for their valuable time in preparation and the night of the tour, and for
sharing of their applications and lessons learned.
Thanks to Plant Manager Randy Tweedy for approving our Tour.
Several members met for supper at Ryan's Steakhouse
after the Tour.
