Mr. Notestine will speak on the senior management's role in promoting quality, and its importance in a company's success and profitability.  This presentation will provide informative and valuable insight into effective management and how everyone can support management's role.

About our Speaker:  

Gregg Notestine became President of Duffy Tool & Stamping in January 2003. Despite a doubling of steel prices beginning in late 2003 and through 2004, Duffy remains profitable and continues to grow in its core automotive markets. The Company currently operates a manufacturing operation in Fort Wayne, 2 manufacturing facilities in Muncie and a tool shop in Muncie.

Prior to joining Duffy, Gregg was employed by ArvinMeritor, a Tier One supplier of exhaust systems, suspension assemblies and other sub-assemblies for virtually all automakers. His last position at ArvinMeritor was as head of the company’s OE Ride Control business, including management responsibility for ArvinMeritor’s joint ventures with Kayaba Industry Company, Ltd., the leading Japanese shock absorber manufacturer.

During his tenure with ArvinMeritor, Gregg also was active in their automotive exhaust system business. As a Vice President in the Light Vehicle System Division, he managed ArvinMeritor’s exhaust business with Ford Motor Company, which involved manufacturing and supplying exhaust parts to Ford in over 10 countries, including Thailand, India and Germany.

From 1995 to 1998, Gregg lived and worked in Sao Paulo, Brazil where he led ArvinMeritor’s business development activities in South America, including the establishment of new exhaust operations in Venezuela and Argentina.

Before his assignment in Brazil, Gregg was Treasurer and Secretary of the company’s Arvin Sango joint venture in Madison, Indiana. Arvin Sango is a major supplier of exhaust systems and stampings to Toyota’s North American assembly operations.

Gregg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Duffy Tool and Stamping, LLC is a Muncie, Indiana based manufacturer of metal stampings, multislide and specialty products to automotive, appliance, refrigeration and other industries. Brittany Corporation, a Cleveland-based company, owns several manufacturing companies that serve a broad array of industrial and consumer markets including metal stampings and castings, die-cut material, ceramic stoneware, close tolerance gaskets, and specialty packaged desiccants. The Brittany companies have 10 manufacturing plants in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan as well as Mexico with consolidated sales of approximately $200 million.

Pre-Clinic: 

Mike Puhl, Senior Process Engineer at Saint-Gobain Containers, in Dunkirk and Steve Zylka, Lead Auditor and Document Controller for MTI DynAmerica, will do the April Pre-clinic.  Their topic will be Microsoft Excel 'Lookup' tables, and other Excel tricks and tips.  This lesson will be valuable to beginners and experienced users of Excel as Mr. Puhl and Mr. Zylka will use their laptop and an overhead projector, so all can follow the steps through each keystroke and mouse click.
